Need help preparing your taxes? AARP will prepare your taxes for FREE!

Available only on Mondays and Fridays from 10AM to 2PM.

You will need to bring:

the completed AARP tax packet (available at the library),a driver's license/state ID,social security card, andany relevant tax information/forms.

This program is first come, first serve for walk-ins.

This year AARP will also offer appointments. Appointments can be made over the phone or in-person.

Watercolor for “Young at heART” adults meets every Tuesday morning to enjoy watercolor painting while commiserating with fellow artists! This friendly and social group is open to all adults and to all levels of art experience, including those who have never painted with watercolor at all. Sometimes the group works on individual projects and sometimes there is an art education period. Sometimes you will learn something new and sometimes you can teach something to others. Join in for a morning of beautiful art and fun conversation!

Are you ready to learn English? Are you looking for a way to improve your English conversation skills?

Classes are free and all materials are provided. Pre-registration is required before anyone can attend. To register for class, fill out the registration form, email us at pw@hcpl.net, or call the branch at 832-927-7870. Our Literacy Coordinator will help determine the right class for you and check to see if there are any open spaces available.

Seniors 55+ are invited to join the Maud Marks Library’s Timeless Travelers program for a trip to the Orange Show and Smither Park and tour the labyrinthine 3,000 sq. ft. monumental work of handmade architecture - built single handedly by a retired mail carrier named Jeff Davis McKissack (1902-1980). The Smither Park features permanent mosaic masterpieces. The bus will be departing on Thursday, March 19, from 9:30 AM.
