El libro del club es 'Honrare la Navidad en mi corazon y procurare conservarla durante todo el ano' de Charles Dickens.

El extenso periodo victoriano consolido buena parte de la imagen y el caracter que asociamos a estas festividades hoy en dia. En esta recopilacion antologica no falta, como es natural, Charles Dickens, y junto a los suyos se recogen tambien magnificos relatos de Anthony Trollope, Charlotte Riddell, Arthur Conan Doyle (uno de ellos protagonizado por Sherlock Holmes), Juliana Ewing y Wilkie Collins. 

The Next Chapter kicks off its annual Winter Film Fest on Thursday, December 11. We look forward to showing Small Things Like These, the 2024 film adapted from the novella by the same name by Claire Keegan. Set in 1985 Ireland, devoted father Bill Furlong discovers disturbing secrets kept by the local convent and uncovers shocking truths of his own. This film stars Cillian Murphy, Patrick Ryan, Peter Claffey, Ian O'Reilly, and Helen Behan. Rated PG-13, Small Things Like These lasts 1 hour, 38 minutes.

Join us for a fun-filled Movie Screening Day at the Highlands Stratford Branch Library! We’ll kick things off at 12:00 PM with How to Train Your Dragon, complete with snacks, crafts, and exciting coloring pages for kids and families. Later, return at 5:00 PM for How to Train Your Dragon 2, where we’ll keep the creativity going with crafts, coloring pages, and delicious pizza. It’s the perfect chance to enjoy two beloved movies and hands-on activities in a welcoming community space.
