Come and join us for 45 minutes of sensory exploration and discovery! Our "Little Explorers" program is for preschool age children from 0 - 5 years old and their caregivers. Please dress to get messy! This event is free to attend and all materials will be provided. Each session requires a free ticket for kids in attendance. Tickets are available in the library on the morning of the event.

DANCE TO LEARN is a movement integration program that approaches academic curriculum from a kinesthetic perspective. Houston Ballet teaching artists work together with teachers to create lessons that address TEKS in multiple subject areas while building Social Emotional Skills.

Join us for a Dr. Seuss themed preschool story time to celebrate National Read Across America Day!
"Turn the Page" is an imaginative experience filled with books, songs, rhymes, finger plays, puppets, movement, interactive elements, and sensory play. This program is designed to further develop your child's literary, cognitive, and social skills, all while having fun!
*Recommended for children ages 3-5 and their parents/caregivers.
National Read Across America Day falls on the same day as the birthday of children’s book author Dr. Seuss so, naturally, it is a tradition to read his storybooks on this day. Parents, teachers, students, and members of society all come together to celebrate the joys of reading and to encourage it to become a habit for children.
