Explore the properties of Air and pressure in this series of pneumatically magical experiments. Dueling bathroom plungers and the Magdeburg Hemisphere reveal the awesome power of air pressure. Students will discover what Bernoulli's principle has to do with toilet paper and a few lucky kids get to ride our Mad Science Hovercraft!
Join us every Monday to create a new masterpiece! In this program you will learn about various types of art and use a variety of medium to create a unique art project each week. This program is geared toward children ages 5-12 years old.
Space is limited; event may be held in groups with staggering start times if room reaches capacity. Please pick up your free tickets at the Children's Reference Desk every Monday beginning at 1:45 pm.
Come and join us for 45 minutes of sensory exploration and discovery! Our "Little Explorers" program is for preschool age children from 0 - 5 years old and their caregivers. Please dress to get messy! This event is free to attend and all materials will be provided. Each session requires a free ticket for kids in attendance. Tickets are available in the library on the morning of the event.
