Officer Boniface from the Seabrook Police Department will be here at Evelyn Meador Library to instruct and train women in the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D) program. " R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) is a program for women that teaches self-defense, awareness, and confidence as women learn how to be aware and avoid dangerous situations. They will also learn how to throw various punches, kicks and strikes, among other valuable techniques." (Seabrook PD)
This program will take place on June 17th, 18th, and 20th from 1 PM- 5PM. Participants are expected to attend all 3 sessions for the full duration of the event.
This program is for women aged 12 and up. Part of this training includes physical activity, so please keep that in mind when considering registering. There are only 8 sports available. Once you register, a library staff member will share your name and email with Officer Boniface, who will reach out to you with further information. Registration is available on our library website and closes on June 13th at 12 PM.
We hope that you will join us! Please feel free to reach out to us or Officer Boniface with any questions.
