If you are 50+, join us for a fun-filled outing day provided in conjunction with Harris County Precinct 3's bus program. We will depart from the LSC - Tomball Community Library at 8:30 am. Please come inside to check in before boarding the bus.
For our first stop we will be visiting Hemi Hideout! The venue is filled with 24 of the most desirable motor parts on earth and ions from an era of Rock'n'roll. Over 600 vintage porcelain and neon signs, all from days gone by, that date back as far as the early 1900's. Also featured in the venue, are many various pieces of memorabilia, antique tractors and motorcycles, all restored to their original factory glory.
Admission will be $10 CASH ONLY per person.
Afterward, we will head to the Brookwood Community, the 485-acre residential and vocational community village where adults with disabilities are celebrated, admired, and respected for their amazing gifts and steadfast joy in all circumstances. More than 200 Citizens work in one or more of Brookwood’s enterprises and over 100 Residential Citizens live at the Main Campus. We will have lunch at the Brookwood Cafe, then tour Brookwood’s Stephen C. Beasley Center for Learning (CFL) and other campus sites and shop at the Gift and Garden Center, returning to the library around 5:00 pm. We hope you can join us!
